Privacy policy
Last updated: 3 November 2026
In short: StreamFlow has no user account, no server storing your data and no analytics or advertising tracking. Your playlists, credentials, favourites and history stay on your devices. Purchases are processed by Apple or Google. We do not sell or share any data.
This is a translation; in case of discrepancy, the French version prevails.
1. Data controller
João Barbosa, Monthey (Valais, Switzerland), publisher of the StreamFlow app.
Contact for any question about your data: support@stream-flow.ch.
This policy applies to the StreamFlow apps for iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Mac, Android and Android TV, and to the website stream-flow.ch. It complies with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, for users in the European Union, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
2. What StreamFlow does not do
- No account creation, no sign-up.
- No analytics, audience measurement or tracking tools.
- No third-party or targeted advertising: the free version only shows banners for StreamFlow PRO.
- No sale or rental of personal data.
3. Data stored on your devices
The following information is stored only on your device and is never sent to us:
- the addresses of your playlists and servers, and the credentials you enter;
- your favourites, lists, hidden or locked channels and your parental control PIN;
- your history, playback positions, personal ratings and settings.
iCloud sync (optional, PRO). If you enable it, some of these settings are synchronised between your Apple devices through iCloud, under your Apple account. This data is managed by Apple; we have no access to it. The parental control PIN is never synchronised.
Backup. The backup you export (JSON file) contains your playlists and credentials: keep it in a safe place. It is never sent anywhere without your action.
4. Services contacted directly by the app
To work, the app connects directly from your device to the services below. As with any Internet connection, these services receive your IP address. We receive none of this data.
| Service | When | Data sent |
|---|---|---|
| Your sources (IPTV provider, Plex / Jellyfin / Emby server, TV box) | Always — that is their purpose | The credentials you entered, the requested streams |
| The Movie Database (TMDB), Wikidata / Wikipedia | Movie and series pages, cast photos | The searched title |
| stream-flow.ch (app configuration) | At launch | No personal data (the host sees the IP address, see section 7) |
| YouTube | If you play a trailer | The requested video |
| Trakt, OpenSubtitles | Only if you enable them | Your Trakt token and what you watch; the subtitle search |
| Apple (App Store, iCloud) or Google Play | Purchases, restore, sync | Handled by Apple or Google under their own policies |
5. Purchases and subscriptions
StreamFlow PRO subscriptions are purchased and managed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We do not receive your name, e-mail address or payment details: the app only receives confirmation that the subscription is active.
6. Free Android version
As on Apple, the free Android version shows no third-party or targeted advertising: only banners for StreamFlow PRO. The app does not use the device's advertising ID. Subscriptions are managed by Google Play, which only sends us confirmation that the subscription is active.
7. Website stream-flow.ch
This website uses no cookies, no analytics and no third-party fonts or scripts. The host (Vercel Inc., United States, global delivery network) keeps technical logs (IP address, date, requested page) for security, for a limited time. Transfers outside Switzerland are covered by Vercel's standard contractual clauses. The domain name and e-mail are managed by Infomaniak Network SA (Geneva, Switzerland).
8. E-mail support
If you write to us, we use your e-mail address and the content of your message only to reply. Never send us your passwords or playlist credentials.
9. Children
StreamFlow is not specifically aimed at children and does not knowingly collect any data about them. The built-in parental controls let you restrict access to some content.
10. Your rights
Since your data stays on your devices, you are fully in control: you can change or delete it in the app, or by deleting the app. For any request (access, correction, erasure, objection), write to support@stream-flow.ch. You can also contact the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or the supervisory authority in your country.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. The date of the last update is shown at the top of the page; for significant changes, we will let you know in the app.
